WHY EXAMPLAT
Clear explanations — no wasted study time
- Answer
- Understand
- Re-solve your mistakes
Clear explanations
Right after you answer, you see the conclusion and the explanation, so you understand why — and can handle the same idea in a different form. Each one links to its primary source.
Review only your mistakes
Wrong answers and questions answered with hints are recorded, so you can re-solve just those and spend your time on your weak spots.
HOW IT WORKS
How it works
- 1
Answer one question at a time
Choose 10 random questions, an area, a difficulty level or a timed mock exam. If you are stuck, reveal up to three hints.
- 2
Read the explanation and its source
Right after you answer, you see the conclusion, the explanation and links to the primary sources behind it.
- 3
Re-solve what you got wrong
Wrong answers and questions answered with hints are recorded so you can review them together.

GUIDE
About the AP Physics 1 exam and how to study with examplat
About AP Physics 1
AP Physics 1: Algebra-Based is a College Board Advanced Placement course and exam in introductory, algebra-based physics. The course covers eight units: kinematics, force and translational dynamics, work, energy and power, linear momentum, torque and rotational dynamics, energy and momentum of rotating systems, oscillations, and fluids. It is built around scientific practices such as representing situations, designing experiments, analysing data and justifying claims with evidence.
The exam is held once a year in May and is scored from 1 to 5. Many universities grant credit or placement for qualifying scores, but each university sets its own policy. Check the College Board website for the current exam format, dates, calculator rules and score reporting.
How to study the question types
Most points come from reasoning, not from memorised formulas. For each problem, name the system, draw a free-body or energy bar diagram, and decide which model applies (constant acceleration, Newton's second law, conservation of energy or momentum, rotational analogues). Then write the relationship in words before substituting numbers.
Pay attention to signs, units and proportional reasoning. Many questions ask what happens to a quantity when another one is doubled, or which graph represents a situation. Practising these qualitative and graph-based questions is as important as practising calculations.
How to use examplat for AP Physics 1
examplat holds more than 1,000 original multiple-choice questions organised by the course units, each with an explanation and links to the College Board course and exam description. Some questions give the reasoning for each option, so you can see why a tempting answer is wrong.
A good routine is to work one unit at a time in short sessions, then review your wrong answers by unit and re-solve them without hints. The material has no study notes or interactive figures, so use your textbook or class notes alongside it. examplat covers multiple-choice practice only; it does not mark free-response answers.
